Christmas: Outfit, Hair, and makeup

Hi everyone. So today I wanted to show you guys my outfit, hair, and makeup for Christmas this year. I know since Christmas is passed that you can’t take inspiration from this for Christmas this year, but you could take inspiration from it for a New Year’s party or maybe for Christmas next year. Let’s go ahead and get right into it.

Outfit:

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/0bf/76212855/files/2014/12/img_1476.jpg

Red and black peplum dress with pearl necklace: Ross, $15
Black bow wedges: Ross, $17

Hair:

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/0bf/76212855/files/2014/12/img_1478.jpg

For this hairstyle, I had my hair in two french-braided pigtails the day before and I slept in them overnight. This resulted in some small waves that I thought looked fantastic with my dress.

Makeup:

/home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/0bf/76212855/files/2014/12/img_1475.jpg

For this makeup look, I started with my concealer and applied it lightly to wherever it was needed. Next, I took a gold eyeshadow and applied all over my eyelids. Then I took some black gel eyeliner and lined my top eyelash line, and extended it a little bit beyond my lash line. Then I took some medium-dark pink blush and applied it to my cheekbones. Lastly, I put on a dark red lipstick, following my natural lip line.

And that is all! I hope you guys enjoyed my post and see you next time!

Thanksgiving: Outfit, hair + makeup

Hi guys. Today I wanted to show you what I wore for thanksgiving and basically my whole look that day. I hope this inspires you to try something new! I hope you like it!

Outfit:

Sorry this is kinda hard to see here but I didn’t really have any better photo options so this will have to do.

Black and white striped peplum top: Target, $25
High waisted Black leather paneled pants: pacsun, free, see fall haul post for more information
Black ankle boots: Kmart, $15

For my hair I just straightened it.

Makeup:
For my makeup I did a natural looking brown smoky eye and I’m going to tell you how to do it.

IMG_1319.JPG

1) Take some of the lightest brown eyeshadow ( circled in photo) and apply it all over your eyelids.
2) Take the next lightest brown eyeshadow and apply it over the outer edges towards the middle of your eyelids.
3) Take the darkest brown and apply to the outer edges of your eyelids.
4) Blend if necessary.
5) Take a small brush and put the darkest brown on your lower lash line from the outer edge to the middle.
You are done! It’s a quick and easy way to get a natural eye look you can dress up or down for any occasion.

Sick Day: Outfit, hair, makeup, and what to do

Hey guys! Sorry I didn’t post on Saturday. I was staying at someone else’s house and they didn’t have internet. It was kind of a last-minute thing, but I promise next time something like this happens, I will notify you beforehand if I can’t post. Ok so today, I was feeling congested and kind of sick so I decided make my post about sick days. I’m going to tell you what you can wear, makeup in case you have to go out in public, hair, and what you can do on sick days when you have nothing to do.

Outfit:

Today I went for a more comfortable look. I’m wearing an oversized sweater and black leggings. I got my leggings from H&M, for $18. I actually don’t remember where I got my sweater from because I got it last year. You could go for an even more comfortable option like sweatpants and an old t-shirt, but I chose this because I had to go to the store.

For my hair, I just brushed and gave it a slight side part and left it down. Another option would be to put you hair up in a messy bun.

For my makeup, I just put on some concealer and a shimmery lavender eye shadow. You don’t have to put on makeup, I just did because I went out in public.

What to do when you’re sick:

  1. Do homework. If you’re in school, you’ll have to get it done eventually so you should get it done as soon as possible so you don’ t have to do it later.
  2. Read a book, magazine or a news article. Some people have no time to read, so when you’re sick and relaxed, it’s a perfect time to read something.
  3. Clean something or do laundry. If you still live at home with your parents or you’re a teenager, this is a great way to help out around the house.
  4. Listen to music. When you’re sick but don’t feel like getting up and doing anything this is a great way to stay relaxed and still enjoy yourself.
  5. Watch TV or a movie.  A sick day is the perfect time to get caught up on your favorite TV show or watch a movie.
  6. Start your own blog or YouTube channel or something like that. This is a great way to keep yourself entertained. But just know that these  things take time and responsibility so if you don’t have much of either of these things then this is not for you.

That’s all  for this post! See you next time. Comment below suggestions for my next post.

DIY Halloween costume: Emily Prentiss from Criminal Minds

Hey guys so I wanted to show you my Halloween costume and how to make it. If you didn’t already know, I’m OBSESSED with the show Criminal Minds which by the way, is on it’s 10th season so you know it’s good. 😉
Anyways, I wanted an easy quick costume so I chose this one. I’ll tell you how to make the outfit and do the hair and makeup too.

IMG_1098.JPG
This is the outfit for my costume.
Maroon long sleeved shirt- Nordstrom, $15
Black slacks- Kohls, $25
Black shiny flats- JCPenneys, $20
Bulletproof FBI vest(fake)- bought online, $18 (it originally said SWAT but I painted over that with black and then painted FBI on with a stencil instead)
{Optional}- You can print Emily Prentiss’ ID tag off of google images and put it in a badge holder.
Hair:
Her hair is black and straight with bangs, but she keeps it in a ponytail a lot so I just straightened mine and put it in a ponytail.

IMG_1099.JPG
Makeup:
First I applied black eyeshadow on moderately thin to look like eyeliner. (It’s easier to control if you use eyeshadow)
Then I took some nude eyeshadow a shade lighter than my skin tone and applied it above the eyeliner to make the look more neat.
Next I took my concealer and applied it under my eyes to cover my under eye circles and to even out my skin tone.
Lastly I got some lipgloss a shade a darker than my lips (but still pink) and put it on my lips.
And this completes the costume! It’s simple and quick and a great costume. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
