This book is probably one of my favorite books ever. It is just amazing. It’s about this girl, Pia, who is the first immortal human being ever and she takes a series of tests to determine if she can become a part of the Immortis team, which is the group of scientists that created her. One day Pia finds a hole in the fence surrounding her home and when she goes through it she meets a local villager, Eio. Together they discover the truth about her past and eventually Pia has to decide between staying with those who raised her or running away with the boy she loves.

Beauty kit: Ulta, $20
I got this for my birthday this year, and let me just say, this is the best beauty thing ever. It has an assortment of brushes, pencil eyeliner, brow filler, eyeshadow, blush, setting powder, lipstick, gel eyeliner, wax, lip primer, highlighter, concealer, and more! This is great if you need to do your makeup quickly because you won’t have to search through your makeup bag for what you need. Plus there are so many makeup looks you could create with this! Ever since getting this, I literally wake up in the morning more exciting for my day and more inspired to try new makeup looks for school. I strongly advise to put this on your Christmas list or buy it yourself!

Covet fashion: free (in most app stores)
This is my most favorite game ever! I have been playing this for a little over a year now and I’m still in love with it. In this game, you can buy clothes and enter fashion events wearing the clothes. You need tickets to enter the fashion events, and you get those by voting on other people’s looks for events. When you enter events, you are given money so you can buy more clothing. This game is kind of hard to explain, and it sounds a bit boring form my description, but I promise you it is amazing. Just try it out.

Thanksgiving: Outfit, hair + makeup

Hi guys. Today I wanted to show you what I wore for thanksgiving and basically my whole look that day. I hope this inspires you to try something new! I hope you like it!

Outfit:
IMG_1316.JPG

Sorry this is kinda hard to see here but I didn’t really have any better photo options so this will have to do.

Black and white striped peplum top: Target, $25
High waisted Black leather paneled pants: pacsun, free, see fall haul post for more information
Black ankle boots: Kmart, $15

For my hair I just straightened it.

Makeup:
For my makeup I did a natural looking brown smoky eye and I’m going to tell you how to do it.

IMG_1319.JPG

1) Take some of the lightest brown eyeshadow ( circled in photo) and apply it all over your eyelids.
2) Take the next lightest brown eyeshadow and apply it over the outer edges towards the middle of your eyelids.
3) Take the darkest brown and apply to the outer edges of your eyelids.
4) Blend if necessary.
5) Take a small brush and put the darkest brown on your lower lash line from the outer edge to the middle.
You are done! It’s a quick and easy way to get a natural eye look you can dress up or down for any occasion.

Fall Haul Part Two! Pacsun, Loft, Bath and Body Works, and Harry & David

Hey guys. So a few days ago I went shopping again. I went to the Williamsburg Outlets, which has a ton of stores, and I got so many great things that I decided for my post today that I would just add the other clothes to my previous haul and just make a part two. I really hope you like it. Comment below if you want me to post some healthy lunch ideas next.

Pacsun:

There’s a rack in the back of the Pacsun I went to that had a sale of buy one, get two free, so the next three items I got, I only had to pay for one of them , but I’ll still post the original price of them.

IMG_1209

Gray Long-sleeved Zodiac T-shirt- $24.95. (this is the item I paid for)

IMG_1211

Red High-low “La Lune” Sweatshirt- $24.95

IMG_1210

High-waisted Black Leather Paneled Pants- I don’t know the original price, because these didn’t have a tag on them and there weren’t any others left so the cashier just made them one of the free items.

These next two items were also on sale. They were buy one, get one half-off.

IMG_1212

Long-sleeved red moon dream catcher t-shirt- $24.95

IMG_1213

Blue Pyramid w/ elephants sweatshirt- $29.95

Loft:

IMG_1206

Gray Sweater tights- $8

When I saw these, I thought they were so adorable! They’re really thick and soft and perfect for winter and fall so I knew I had to get them. Plus their tights were but one, get one free so that leads us to my next purchase.

IMG_1207

Bow tights- $8

These are incredibly cute as well. I know that these won’t keep me very warm just by looking at them, but they’re a great way to spice up an outfit on one of the warmer days.

IMG_1208

Silver Sunburst Necklace- originally $25, all jewelry was half off

I love this necklace so much! It looks like it would be better suited for summer, but it’s relatively easy to make it look amazing all year. It also has a long chain that goes almost to my bellybutton, so it’s awesome for layering.

Bath and Body Works:

IMG_1202

Spiced Apple Toddy Candle- $22

Bath and body works’ candles are 2 for $22, which personally I think is a bit expensive, but it is SO worth it. They smell unique and amazing, with a wide selection of smells, and they are kind of large so they’ll last for quite a while. This candle was also the last Spiced Apple Toddy candle left,  so I was super happy when they let me have it.

IMG_1204

Leaves Candle- $22

This candle does not smell like leaves, even though that’s its’ name. It has a Cinnamon and berry sort of smell, which is why I bought it. I LOVE cranberry candles.

Harry & David:

IMG_1203

Peppermint bark- $4.99

I had actually never been to this store before now, so I wanted to check it out. And let me just tell you, IT”S FREAKING AMAZING. There’s a whole bunch of food there, mostly desserts which is even better and everything there looks delicious. If I wasn’t broke, I would probably be there right now. 😂 But anyways, peppermint bark is my favorite holiday treat so as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it.

Bonus:

As I was walking out of the shopping center, I saw this beautiful scarf in a vendor’s stand. I think she was from Czechoslovakia or something like that. So before I left, I got it and my grandma got a different one because they were 2 for $20.

IMG_1205

Black plaid scarf- originally $12

That’s all for my part two of the fall haul! Hope you enjoyed it!

Fall 2014 trend colors

Hi. Today I wanted to show you the fall 2014 trend colors. These can help you if you don’t know what color to paint your nails, or if you just want to know what colors are fashionable this season.

Maroon: All shades of red towards the dark side of red are in style right now, but maroon or burgundy are more prominent styles. Maroon is also a color trend that will probably last throughout winter.

maroon

Navy: Another trendy color right now is navy. It fits in nicely with the vintage schoolgirl look that is popular right now. I like plaid items with the color navy for fall too.

navy blue

Beige/light brown:  Beige is a very prominent color right now. It is mostly seen on things like cardigans or sweaters, but it looks cool if it is incorporated into an outfit on another type or clothing.

beige

Army green: Army-inspired things are very popular right now, so it makes sense that army green is a trend color. However,  this color of clothing can sometimes be hard to find in stores, but army print is much easier to find, so you could wear that instead.

army green

Black & White:  Something that never goes out of style is black and white. They look great with other colors or  by themselves, but they look even better together. I’m pretty sure everyone knows what black & white look like so I won’t post a picture of them.

Dark Gray is one of the lesser seen trend colors of this fall, but I still have to include it. It looks amazing if you incorporate it into an outfit with leather or something of a different texture.

That’s all for this post! I’ll  see you next time!

Fall 2014 is already here, so I wanted to show you some key pieces of clothing that you will absolutely need in your closet this season. These pieces are relatively easy to find in stores or online, and are usually affordable, depending on where you look for them. Without further ado, let’s get started.

Staple #1: Ankle boots or booties. These are so trendy right now, and they’re very easy to incorporate into outfits. I have a black pair, but I prefer the brown ones. Usually in stores you’ll find them at around $60, but in my opinion, that’s too much to pay. I got mine at Kmart. They were originally $30, but it was buy one pair of shoes and get one half off, so they ended up only being $15. I wear mine almost every week, that’s how versatile they are. I strongly suggest on jumping onto the ankle boot bandwagon before it’s too late!

Staple #2: Knit sweaters. These are the easiest to find out of all of the clothing mentioned. They are everywhere in stores at this time of the year, and everyone probably has one or more in their closet. I won’t go into too much detail about these, but the current popular colors are maroon or burgundy, black and white (peppered), dark orange, nude or beige, and army green. Some popular sweater styles are ones with elbow patches, cropped sweaters and color block with leather or a contrasting color.

Staple #3: Plaid/flannel. I am OBSESSED with plaid this fall and flannel is just so soft! Plaid is one of the most prominent trends this season. I am seeing it all over Pinterest and Instagram lately. Again, this is another majorly versatile style. Plaid shirts are more popular than other plaid articles of clothing, but I really like plaid skirts too. I have one plaid flannel shirt that is my favorite. It’s gray with red and black as the stripes in the plaid and it’s super comfy. Tip: if you don’t wash flannel shirts before wearing them, they shed little fuzzies everywhere. I learned that the hard way. Anyways, I got my plaid flannel shirt from Papaya for around $18.

Staple #4: Statement necklaces. These are year-round figures in fashion, but the ones best suited for fall are the ones that have mainly clear crystal-like gems. I have two like this, and I got them both from Cato, one for $10, and one for $14.

Staple #5: Army inspired. Army inspired is another super popular style right now.  Combat boots were in style last fall, and they have stayed in style for the whole year of 2014. since they have been in style for a while, many people probably already some. Another stylish army-inspired item is an army jacket. I have one that I got from Delia’s for $25, but I ordered it online in the summer.

Staple #6: Leather items. Just to get things straight, I only buy faux leather. Leather jackets are especially in style now. So are many other leather products like leather leggings or pants, and skirts. This is yet another trend I see very often on Pinterest and Instagram. I have a feeling this trend will last throughout winter 2014 too. Also on trend are leather quilted items. I have a faux leather jacket with faux fur trim at the top that I got from Papaya for $17.

Staple #7: Aztec print. I know, I know. Aztec print was a summer trend. But it has stayed with us to fall, and it’s even more beautiful than before. I got my tan, maroon, orange, and black Aztec button-less cardigan for $14 at Papaya.

Staple #8: Anything leopard print. This is one of the lesser trends for this fall, but I love it all the same. Leopard print paired with basics or plain colors can make anything look classy. I got my leopard-print scarf from Burlington for $5.

That’s all for this post! I hope you enjoyed it and it helped you with your style this autumn. Comment what you would like me to do next time. Bye! 🙂
